We are organizing a Father's-Day celebration at the homeschooling group I work for, and I would love to bring in a few Model A's to do rides in the neighborhood. As the guests will be fathers and children, this would be a great way to share our hobby with the younger generation and plant some seeds for the future. We will be meeting in the Parking Lot at the intersection of Douglas Glen Blvd and Douglas Glen Crescent. (approximate address is 245 Douglas Glen Blvd. SE) Google will locate this for you.

Hanna Pioneer Village & Museum, 502 Pioneer Trail, Hanna, Alberta
Leaving from the Hangar Flight Museum, 4629 McCall Way NE. Scenic secondary highways from Calgary to Drumheller and on to Hanna where we will be given a guided tour of the Museum and its heritage buildings and exhibits. Bring a picnic lunch which we will enjoy at the Museum. Our tour will take approximately 2 hours. We will return to Calgary via a similar route with rest stops along the way reaching the Hanger Flight Museum at about 7pm. - Coordinator - Robin Wynd

Rocky Mountain House “Hooked on Classics Car Show”
Sponsored by the Town of Rocky Mountain House We will leave as a group from Cochrane Shell Gas Station at Hwy22 and Hwy 567. The drive to Rocky Mountain House is 150 km via Hwy 22. Plan for a three-hour drive including a rest stop at Sundre. Car show Registration is from 9 am - 12 noon. Show from 12 noon - 3 pm 50/50 Draw Silent Auction Awards Door Prizes Proceeds to local charities. All makes, models & years welcome! We will return to Calgary as a group arriving back by 6:30PM. Club Members from the Didsbury, and Carstairs and Sundre area might rendezvous with Calgary members at Sundre at about 10AM. Red Deer Members could meet us at Rocky.

Details to follow - We will leave Calgary at 8AM, arrival in Nanton by 10AM; For he Nanton Parade 10AM to 12 noon; Bring a lunch. Entry fee is by donation to the Bomber Command Museum. The “Windy City” ... of Lethbridge
Over 20 sites to see. More information to follow as the plan unfolds. This is a whirlwind Model “A”, 2-day trip down the prairie byways going through the “Windy City” ... of Lethbridge. We will take the road less traveled and experience the prairie ambiance. Along the way, there will be quick stops to take snapshots and enjoy the photographic field of view with elevators of grain, railroad ties, former movie sets and items of days gone by. If you are more of a SCI-FI fan we might even, try and TREK through the town of Vulcan. The journey will be an incorporation of driving and intermittent interludes along the way (Hotel and food not included). Get ready to sojourn with us on the route (map available) A list of possible stopping points will be discussed at future meetings. - Coordinator Geoffrey Cohen.

Cluny, Blackfoot Crossing Museum
Where the signing of Treaty No. 7 took place 147 years ago on September 22, 1877. The signing of Treaty No. 7 is commemorated at this site by the Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Stoney-Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina (Sarcee) Nations. Located approximately 100km east of Calgary, Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is a Canadian National Heritage site which marks the historic site for the signing of Treaty Number 7. The site also is a national and international historical and archaeological significance site relevant to Canada's rich history involving the indigenous people. The site is comprised of a combination of indoor and outdoor facilities including, gift shop and cafeteria. The indoor facility is currently showcasing Chief Crowfoot including various artifacts and dissertations of his life and the role he played with his people. We will leave from Elliston Park located on 17th Ave SE & 68 ST SE. then, drive to Langdon then on to Gleichen via Hwy 797 S / Hwy 22X E / 901 E / Hwy 547 N. We will have a brief rest stop in Gleichen and continue onward to Cluny. The total time including rest stops is 3.5 hours. We will have lunch at the Historical Park and Tour the exhibits for approximately 3 hours and return to Calgary via a similar route reaching Calgary at approximately 6:30pm. - Coordinator Robin Wynd

Sponsored by Bowness Auto. We could put together a representative contingent of a few cars and arrive as a group and display our cars as a group. Draw prizes and food venders and much activity makes for a great show every year. I estimate that there were over 250 cars on display at the 2023 event. USCAN Tour - Joint Crossover with the MAFCA (associated) Model “A” Touring Club
Proposed Route would be Calgary to Rocky Mountain House (overnight); Continue to Jasper via Hwy 11 and 93 (optional) or meet at Saskatchewan Crossing Junction of Hwy 11 and Hwy 93; Meet up with Oregon Model “A” Touring Club for Lunch and sharing of touring stories; Continue as a joint members tour to Lake Louise and Banff; Alberta group might return to Calgary, however, Some members might choose to go south to Radium and Cranbrook before returning to Calgary.  *  Our Club Meetings will be held at the Hangar Aviation Museum for the months of January, February, and March of this year. The Museum is located off McKnight Boulevard and McCall Way NE. The address is 4629 McCall Way NE, Calgary. The Meeting times are at our current dates/times of 7:30 PM and on the second Wednesday of the month. Plenty of parking is available. The meeting room is inside the main door then along the walkway for a short distance and then to your right. Coffee is being provided by the Museum. Be sure to say hi to Malcolm, who will be our host from the Museum side
